Marinade:

  • 9 lbs. spiral, precooked ham
  • 2 Tbsp. Grandma’s® Molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened

Homemade Glaze:

  • 1 C. pineapple juice
  • 1 Tbsp. grainy mustard
  • 1 C. Grandma’s® Molasses
  • 1/2 – 1 whole habanero (depending on how spicy you want it), minced

Directions

Marinade:

  • To make the marinade, start by mixing Grandma’s® Molasses, yellow mustard and unsalted butter. Mix until smooth.
  • Generously lather the marinade onto the ham, getting in between each slice.
  • Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350°F for 2 hours.
  • While the ham in in the oven, make the sweet and spicy glaze.

Homemade Glaze:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, add the pineapple juice, grainy mustard, Grandma’s® Molasses and the habanero.
  2. Mix and then simmer until it slightly thickens.
  3. Once the sauce has thickened, turn the heat off and set aside.
  4. 1 hour and 50 minutes into the baking time, take the ham out of the oven and uncover it.
  5. Pour the sweet and spicy glaze over the ham, reserving about 1/4 cup, and place it back into the oven for the last 10 minutes.
  6. After 10 minutes, you should have a beautifully caramelized ham.
  7. Take it out and transfer to a serving dish.
  8. Pour the remaining glaze over for the final presentation.
