Homemade Glaze:
- 1 C. pineapple juice
- 1 Tbsp. grainy mustard
- 1 C. Grandma’s® Molasses
- 1/2 – 1 whole habanero (depending on how spicy you want it), minced
Directions
Marinade:
- To make the marinade, start by mixing Grandma’s® Molasses, yellow mustard and unsalted butter. Mix until smooth.
- Generously lather the marinade onto the ham, getting in between each slice.
- Transfer to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake at 350°F for 2 hours.
- While the ham in in the oven, make the sweet and spicy glaze.
Homemade Glaze:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add the pineapple juice, grainy mustard, Grandma’s® Molasses and the habanero.
- Mix and then simmer until it slightly thickens.
- Once the sauce has thickened, turn the heat off and set aside.
- 1 hour and 50 minutes into the baking time, take the ham out of the oven and uncover it.
- Pour the sweet and spicy glaze over the ham, reserving about 1/4 cup, and place it back into the oven for the last 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, you should have a beautifully caramelized ham.
- Take it out and transfer to a serving dish.
- Pour the remaining glaze over for the final presentation.
