Molasses Salted Caramel Sauce Recipe

  1. In a 2 qt. saucepan, heat the molasses over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
  2. Continue to boil, whisking frequently, for 7 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and slowly pour in the cream. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Whisk in the butter, vanilla and salt until well blended.
  5. Allow mixture to cool before transferring to a container with a lid.
  6. Refrigerate for up to two weeks. Mixture will thicken significantly with refrigeration.
