Meatloaf with Molasses Glaze Recipe
Ingredients
Meatloaf:
- 1 ½ lbs. ground beef
- 1 C. rolled oats
- 1 small onion, small diced
- ¼ C. ketchup
- 2 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- ¾ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. black pepper
- ½ tsp. Spice Islands® Garlic Powder
Glaze:
- ½ C. Grandma’s® Molasses
- ¼ C. ketchup
Directions
Meatloaf:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl combine the ground beef, oats and onion.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the ketchup, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and garlic powder until well blended.
- Pour over the ground beef mixture and thoroughly mix.
- Spray an 8 ½” x 4 ½” or 9”x5” loaf pan with cooking spray.
- Press the meatloaf evenly into the pan.
Glaze:
- Whisk the two ingredients together until well blended.
- Pour ½ cup over the top of the meatloaf and use a pastry brush or the back of a spoon to spread all over the top.
- Bake for 1 hour.
- Turn the oven temperature up to 400°F.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and brush with the remaining glaze.
- Return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
