Baked Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening Butter Flavor
- 2 C. all-purpose flour
- ¼ C. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Powder
- 1 tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon
- 1 C. milk
- ¼ C. Grandma’s® Molasses
- 2 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp. turbinado sugar, optional
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray, such as Baker’s Joy® Nonstick Spray with Flour; set aside.
- Melt the shortening and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs and molasses until well blended.
- Pour the milk mixture into the dry mixture and blend.
- Pour the melted shortening into the bowl and stir until thoroughly incorporated.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle the turbinado sugar over the top, if using.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cut into squares and serve with butter and Cinnamon-Molasses Syrup.
