BBQ Pulled Chicken Recipe

  1. Place the chicken in a slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the remaining ingredients, except the BBQ sauce, until well blended.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Turn the chicken several times to coat.
  5. Cook on high heat for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6 hours. The internal temperature of the chicken should be at least 165˚F.
  6. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place on a large baking sheet.
  7. Use two forks to pull the chicken until it is shredded.
  8. Pour the liquid from the slow cooker into a small saucepan.
  9. Bring to a boil and cook until reduced by half.
  10. Pour over the shredded chicken and toss to coat.
  11. Use for sandwiches, if desired, and serve with BBQ sauce, pickles, red onion or your favorite toppings.
