Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 small, sweet onion, diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 C. ketchup
  • ½ C. Grandma’s® Molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. Spice Islands® Smoked Paprika

Directions

  1. Pre-measure all ingredients before beginning.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes or until browned and tender.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook an additional 30 seconds.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients and bring just to a low boil.
  6. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
  7. Remove the sauce from the heat and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Pour sauce into a blender or food processor and puree until smooth. Be cautious as the sauce may still be warm.
  9. Pour into a storage container and keep refrigerated for up to one week.
