Ingredients

  • 10 lb. bone-in spiral cut ham
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup Grandma’s®️ Molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. apple juice

Directions

  1. Remove all packaging from the ham and place in a roasting pan. Run two wooden skewers through the ham to keep the slices from “opening” while baking. Allow the ham to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 275°F.
  3. Tent the ham with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours or until the internal temperature is 130°F.
  4. While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze.
  5. Place the sugar, molasses, mustard and apple juice in a small saucepan and stir to combine.
  6. Cook over med-low heat until it comes to a simmer.
  7. Continue to cook at a simmer, stirring occasionally, until a syrup is formed.
  8. When ham reaches 130°F, remove from the oven and brush the glaze all over the outside of the ham, allowing it to drip between the slices.
  9. Turn the oven up to 400°F.
  10. Return the ham, uncovered, to the oven for the remaining 20 minutes or until the internal temperature is 145°F and the glaze has charred on the edges.

Tips

Cooking time is about 20 minutes per pound at 275°F
