Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
- ½ C. water
- 6 Tbsp. Grandma’s® Molasses
- ¼ C. mirin
- ¼ C. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Ginger
- ½ tsp. Spice Islands® Garlic Powder
- ¼ C. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. Clabber Girl® Corn Starch
Directions
- Combine the ½ cup water, molasses, mirin, soy sauce, sugar, ginger and garlic powder in a saucepan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cold water and corn starch until well blended; set aside.
- Heat molasses mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Restir the corn starch mixture and pour into the saucepan.
- Cook, stirring constantly, keeping the mixture at a low boil until the sauce is glossy and thickened – about 2 minutes.
- Allow to cool before transferring to a storage container.
- Keep in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
