Royal Icing Recipe

A simple icing recipe that’s perfect for cakes, cookies, cupcakes and any dessert you can think of.

Ingredients

  • 6 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 4 egg whites (beaten)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, sift together confectioner’s sugar and cream of tartar.
  2. Using electric mixer, beat in 4 beaten egg whites for about 5 minutes or until mixture is thick enough to hold its shape.
